![]() ![]() He was passionate about fishing, camping, thunderstorms, gambling, hunting for treasure at thrift shops, working on that old 1977 Ford Bronco with Jake, household chores (only because he knew it pleased his woman), OU football, NFL football, World Cup Soccer, chili cooking (he truly was a master chef), cruising, and travelling, but above all he was a family man devoted to caring for Christie, Jake & Sydney. To view the tribute from MMGY Global, please visit Lucas’s soul focus in life was to support his family, allowing Christie to be a stay-at-home mom to raise their amazing kids, feed many dogs (Bear, Kaya, Nugget, Coco & Gypsy), a couple cats (Lucky & Onyx), a very mean hamster (Hammy), and even a couple toads (Harry & Ron). Although his family never quite understood what he did, they were beyond proud and would just nod and “uh-huh” whenever he talked about work. He loved his work and was incredibly dedicated and passionate about data modeling. In 2004, they moved to Kansas City, Missouri where he was devoted to his career in Marketing & Advertising for Barkley and then MMGY Global.Īs a member of the MMGY Global family for a decade as SVP, Data Strategy, Lucas provided brilliant insight and pioneered new ideas for the agency. Lucas and Christie lived in Norman, OK for several years and had two beautiful babies, Jake & Sydney. For over 21 years, they were incredibly lucky in marriage but not so much in gambling. ![]() They married on February 14th, 1998 in Las Vegas, Nevada (of course) because they could get free drinks and try their luck at the slots. ![]() Lucas met his best friend and the love of his life, Christie Neises, when he was 19. In college, he was an avid football fan of the Crimson & Cream (BOOMER! SOONER!) and a member of Pi Kappa Phi fraternity. After high school, he dishonored his family by attending the University of Oklahoma instead of Oklahoma State University and earned his Bachelor’s degree in Journalism – Professional Writing. Lucas graduated high school in Sapulpa, OK where he was fittingly given the nickname CrazyLou.
